Curation

At YOUMECINEMA, we recognise that not every film that is made gets seen — and not every film that is seen is truly experienced. Our curatorial practice begins in that quiet space between visibility and discovery, where cinema becomes an act of attention.

We are dedicated to uncovering and sharing niche, visionary, and experimental films that often exist beyond the circuits of commercial visibility. Each curated work is chosen for its ability to challenge perception, evoke contemplation, and expand the boundaries of what cinema can be.

Through screenings, film programmes, and research-based exhibitions, we curate encounters rather than simply events — creating spaces where audiences can meet films on their own terms, with time to look, listen, and reflect.

Our collaborations with artists, archives, and institutions allow us to screen these films across the world, bringing together diverse audiences in shared, reflective experiences. Whether presented in art houses, festivals, or intimate community spaces, our screenings are designed to transform viewing into dialogue.

For us, curation is not the end of a process, but the beginning of one — a form of care, inquiry, and renewal. By giving unseen films the chance to be experienced, we seek to nurture a deeper connection between people, images, and the possibilities of cinema itself.
